On Sunday, May 15th with splendid weather to match the occasion, three of our beloved children: Caila Daley-Blackwell and the Coq children (Darrenae and William) received their First Holy Communion from the consecrated hands of their spiritual father and Parochial Administrator, Fr. Arthur F. Rojas, at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
On that day, Presentation Church set a new record of Sunday Mass attendance during the tenure of Fr. Rojas. Following the Mass, parishioners proceeded out of the church to the Marian structure behind the church on Hoyt Street for the May Crowning of the image of Our Lady in the little house as parishioners grounded the event with prayer and hymns. Little Caila Daley-Blackwell entered the house to crown the image of Our Lady as William and Darrenae Coq formed part of the delegation too.
Along with these three children who received First Holy Communion in the Ordinary Form at Presentation Church, late last month Maria Ann Sheshany made her First Holy Communion at the Extraordinary Form Sunday Mass (11 a.m.) at Sacred Heart Church. Little Maria arguably was the first First Holy Communion in the history of the 11 a.m. Sunday Extraordinary Form Mass at our parish.
Congratulationsto the parents, families, and friends of our First Holy Communicants! Heartfelt thanksto the Religious Education Program and our cooperating clerics and parents for their prayerful efforts towards these blessed milestones of faith.
