May 13, 2022 (Our Lady of Fatima) - In the spirit of St. Louis de Montfort's True Devotion to Mary, our parish is linking Marian devotions and programming to a greater devotion to Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is risen from the dead.
On Saturday, May 7th, our administrator Fr. Arthur Rojas blessed and had installed a plaque commemorating Mrs. Sharon Daw, the late wife of parishioner Mr. Walter Daw and a parishioner and member of the Women's Society at Presentation Church of happy memory. In the snapshot, Fr. Rojas is flanked by Mr. Chester Van Wegenen, our stalwart sexton at Presentation Church, and Mrs. Linda Zifchak, President of the Women's Society. For more information about the Society, kindly call Presentation Church at 845/331-0053. The event of May 7th followed the Holy Hour at Presentation Church, which happens after the 8 a.m. Mass on the first Saturday of each month. The next Holy Hour at our parish is scheduled at Sacred Heart Church at Esopus on Saturday, May 21st at 3:15 p.m.
The homage to Mrs. Daw anticipates the May Crowning on Sunday, May 15th at Presentation Church after the 10 a.m. Mass. Our First Communicants will be part of the procession leading Mass-goers out of the church after Mass to conduct the May Crowning with prayer and song. Everyone of good will is welcome to join us at Mass and at the May Crowning.
At Presentation, we are honored also to host Confirmations for youths from our parish and Immaculate Conception parish at Kingston. Come and join us on Wednesday, May 18th at 5:30 p.m. for Holy Mass. Welcome to His Excellency, Most Rev. Gerardo J. Colacicco, J.C.L., D.D., auxiliary bishop of New York, as the confirming prelate and main celebrant, and to Rev. Fr. Miroslaw "Mirek" Pawlaczyk, pastor of Immaculate Conception parish as concelebrant. Come, Holy Spirit! Our Lady of the Hudson, pray for our confirmandi, that they become the next generation of saints!
